Who we are
SoundSpend is an advertising service for musicians. We build and run advertising campaigns on third-party platforms, currently Meta (Instagram and Facebook), on your behalf and under our own advertising accounts.
What you pay
Each campaign is a one-time payment covering your chosen ad budget plus a SoundSpend management fee. The management fee is 15% of the first $1,000 of ad spend you commit in a calendar month and 10% of any ad spend above $1,000 in that same month. There is no cap, no setup or activation fee, no subscription and no automatic renewal. The full amount is shown to you before you pay, and the monthly tier resets at the start of each calendar month.
Refunds
If a campaign has not started, you can cancel it and we refund the ad budget in full; the management fee is refunded too if we have not yet produced your ads. Once a campaign is live, ad spend already delivered cannot be refunded. If a platform rejects your ads and we cannot get them approved, we refund all undelivered budget.
Your content
You keep ownership of your music, footage and images. By uploading them you give us permission to edit them into advertising creative and to run that creative on advertising platforms on your behalf. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including the recording, the composition and anyone appearing in the footage.
Content we can't run
We follow the advertising policies of the platforms we buy on. We may decline or stop a campaign that breaches those policies or that contains content we consider unlawful, hateful or deceptive. Where we decline before spend, you are refunded.
Results
We do not guarantee streams, followers, saves, playlist placements, sales or any other outcome. Estimates shown in the product are based on typical costs and are not promises. Reported figures come from the advertising platform and from our own link tracking, and may differ from figures shown by streaming services.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time; we will remove your data as described in our privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it applies to new campaigns. Continuing to use SoundSpend after that means you accept the updated terms.
